Arrow Animal Urgent Care: Walk-in Urgent Veterinary Care for Dogs and Cats in Renton, WA

Revolutionizing Veterinary Care

Arrow Animal Urgent Care is your in-between patient care option for non-emergency concerns that cannot wait for a primary veterinarian’s next available appointment. Opened in 2022 by Dr. Beth Guerra and Dr. Laurie Wieringa, our clinic is dedicated to treating as many Seattle cats and dogs as possible, one walk-in at a time!

The Story Behind Arrow

Veterinary medicine and its access are constantly evolving, which led to the creation of Arrow Animal Urgent Care. Vet school classmates and long-time friends, Dr. Beth Guerra and Dr. Laurie Wieringa noted a shift in the veterinary climate over the past several years, partly due to the pandemic and how it drove an increase in pet ownership and a shortage of veterinary staff.

Primary care veterinarians were struggling to accommodate current and new clients, and emergency clinics quickly became overwhelmed by their caseload. Pets with urgent care needs were not able to be treated in a timely matter.

In response to this shift within the Greater Seattle area, the doctors formed a new partnership: becoming co-owners of a veterinary clinic dedicated to providing accessible urgent care to all cats and dogs who need it.

Since its opening in 2022, Arrow Animal Urgent Care has become a thriving practice that upholds its mission of maximizing quality patient care in our community. Our original location was on NE Sunset Boulevard. In December 2024, we moved to our current location on Lind Avenue, which happens to be the BluePearl Pet Hospital’s former Renton location. Meet the Doctors and the rest of our amazing team!

Mission Vision & Values

Our mission as a walk-in-only clinic is to widen access to time-sensitive care, in light of the limited availability of primary veterinarians in the Seattle area. We assess and treat pets with urgent care (non–life-threatening) needs as well as provide owners with follow-up instructions for their primary veterinarian.

Who We Help

Arrow Animal Urgent Care bridges the gap between primary and emergency veterinary care. We strive to serve clients efficiently and provide full on-site diagnostics to be able to determine the best course of action for each pet. When necessary, we refer clients to the appropriate emergency/specialty clinic.
